Where else do GMPs apply?

All industries rely on GMPs to ensure quality and consistency. There’s the GLP, which ensures good laboratory practice in non-clinical studies, like those performed in animals. Good clinical practices (GCPs) are devoted to managing regulatory commitments with regards to human testing. Good distribution practice (GDP) deals with properly distribution medicines for human use, and GTP focuses on best practices in the transportation realm. Collectively, the best-practices requirements are lumped together as GxP requirements – pertaining to different industries, but sharing the common goals of quality, consistency, and safety.
